It takes more than one discipline to influence a complex perception: that of how you feel about your employer (or future employer).

Why complex? Well, too many variables. Sharing my example.

Over the years there have been definitely highs and lows influenced each time by:

My understanding and connection to the company vision and strategies

How much I was earning (salary, benefits) compared to the effort i was putting in

How much I felt I was belonging and I was appreciated

How much I was learning

How I was treated at times of transition

How proud I was about my work and my contribution to a bigger cause

How much I liked my manager and my colleagues

Our human nature makes us inevitably biased. We can experience recency bias (the tendency to place too much emphasis on experiences that are freshest in your memory), negativity bias (the tendency to pay more attention to negative information than to positive information) and many more. We are also influenced by what others think so word of mouth and increasingly social media and Glassdoor reviews are playing an important role in shaping the perception of an employer brand.

At WeRedd we seamlessly blend marketing with HR as we believe that with clear messages, the right focus, consistency and smart tools, each company can remind its employees (and potential future employees) what's unique about them in an authentic way.
